Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So the Tire Hold is like the name implies a wheel mounted bike carrier that holds your bike by the tires. If you have a specialty bike, a bike with a carbon fiber frame or something you just didn't want any contact to your top tube, this is gonna be a great way to secure your bike to the back of your Equinox. One of the things that I think that is kind of limiting on this one is the tilt that it has or lack thereof. You're just gonna pull your latch and this is how much tilt you have. So you won't have enough space to actually open the hatch and get to your cargo area, but you definitely make contact to with your handlebars to the back of your, you know, your back door here. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So as you can see, the StageTwo is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna secure your bike using a front hook and a rear strap cradle. This is gonna work for those bikes that have carbon fiber frames, step-through bikes, or if you just have a bike where you don't want any contact to the paint on the top tube. This is gonna work really well for that, 'cause it's gonna give you that extra adjustability to use just about any style bike. As far as on the back of the Equinox, you do have a tilt feature that's gonna allow you to access your cargo area. When you're tilting over, you wanna be cautious if you're maxing out on the capacity, 'cause you're right at 70 pounds per bike on the back of the Equinox. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The NV 2.0 is a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that it has a hook that secures your bike on the front and a strap that secures your rear tire so you don't have any contact on the frame of your bike. A lot of frame mounted carriers are gonna have a hook that goes down on your top tube, and this is gonna prevent that contact if you have a carbon fiber bike or an unconventional bike, like a step through bike. On the back of the Equinox, you can see that it comes in handy to have that tilt feature. If you need to actually get to your cargo area, you just press down the lever and you can open the back quite easily with the mountain bike that I have loaded here. If you have wider handle bars, it may be a concern, but you know, overall I think you have a pretty good amount of space to get to your cargo area. more

If you have a frame mounted carrier, you're gonna have a hook that puts pressure down on your top tube, and this is gonna help you not have that contact with your frame, especially if you have a carbon fiber frame bike bike or unconventional frame like a step through. On the back of the vehicle, it's gonna allow you specifically the Piston Pro, it's gonna allow you to have a tilt feature, where you can access your cargo area pretty easily. more

The e-bike carrier here, the Destination E is actually a frame-mounted bike carrier. So that's gonna make its contact points right here on your top tube and your front and rear wheel using the cradle system. The thing that's special about the Destination E is the way that the mast is shaped. So it's gonna accommodate a wide variety of different bike styles. So if you have a step through bike or a e-bike that has a different angle to cross tube or even a woman's bike, you'd be able to actually make that contact by sliding the clamp over on the frame where you can. more

So the Swagman Dispatch is a nice bike carrier if you're not overly concerned with a frame mounted bike carrier style, that's going to actually come into contact with your top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or a bike with a nice paint job or even a unconventional frame style, like a step through, it may not be the best option. If that's not a concern for you, it'll work pretty well on the back of your vehicle. On the rear of the Equinox, once you have your bikes loaded up, you will not be able to tilt this carrier. So that is something that's kind of a shortcoming of the dispatch. more

So if you have a bike like a carbon fiber bike or a step through frame, something where you necessarily didn't want contact to the top tube, you're gonna be able to secure your bike without having any issues. Only thing that I have encountered, sometimes if you have fenders that stick out a bit, this isn't necessarily gonna be the best option for you. But on the case of this mountain bike right here, you can see that it works well. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Thule Epos Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So our bike carrier here is actually kind of unique versus a lot of other types, whereas it is a frame mount and it can also be a wheel-mounted carrier, so that's gonna allow you to get two different types of bikes out on the road. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, a step-through bike, something like that, you can actually adjust your arm to attach to your rear wheel, or if you have a bike where you don't mind that contact on the top tube, then it works out fine, kinda like our e-bike here. Our capacity is sitting here right at 75 pounds for a single bike or 70 pounds for two bikes. So that gives you a lot of flexibility as far as how much you can carry along with you, and let's take a look at how it works with the Equinox. We're gonna push down on our pedal here and activate our tilt feature. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Swagman Dispatch bike carrier on the back of our 2023 Nissan Rogue. The Dispatch is a frame-mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a padded hook across your top tube and two cradle straps to secure your bike to the carrier. If you have a carbon fiber frame, a step-through bike or just a nice paint job where you didn't want any contact, this may not be the best option for you, but if that's not a hurdle, then this'll work out great. On the back of the Rogue, it does not have a tilt feature, but your trade off for not having a tilt is the ability to use it in a flat tow situation or if you also own a RV. So that's kind of a good feature. However, it does limit you from accessing the cargo area if you have the bike on. more

Now the Okanagan is in the three-bike configuration, which is two-bike platform rack, plus the add-on. I like the clearance it gives, we have plenty of space to open up our hatch on our Seltos. The downside is there's gonna be a lot more movement here on this rack. So, if possible, please put your lighter bike on the very end, because that will help reduce that movement up and down. more

As you can see right here, when I tilt it back, most of 'em will be able to go pretty far back. So that's gonna give me the ability to open up my hit, or my hatch once I find that button and a reason why you might want to open up your hatch when you have a bike back here is whether or not you wanna get ready for your ride, grab your gear, or if you're out and about and you need to put your groceries up, or you just simply need a spot to get ready and tie your shoes and when you close this up, I can show you how to put this back into the seated position. Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today we have the Swagman E-Spec two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes. We're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. The E-Spec is gonna be very popular because of its heavy duty weight capacity. It has an 80 pound weight capacity on your Gladiator, 70 pounds if you put this on a motor home, which is gonna be a lot. Now, there are some things to keep in mind though with this type of a rack is that you do lose out on some features that you may get on lighter or more premium, meaning more pricey, bike racks. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on the back of our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. The Sherpa 2.0 is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and what that means for you it allows you to transfer your bike securely without making any contact to the frame of your bike at all. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or if you have an unconventional bike, like a step-through, this is gonna be a great way to secure it without making any contact to the frame. You're gonna have a large hook on your front wheel, and with the Sherpa you want it as close to the forks as possible, and you have a single strap on your rear wheel, and that's gonna hold your bike in place as you go down the road. A cool feature of the Sherpa 2.0 is the fact that you can pull this lever and actually tilt your bike carrier while it's loaded with bikes. You can see right here that you have full clearance to open up your tailgate without having to remove the bike from here and having any interference. more

This is available as a single-bike kit but, currently, we have the Saris add-on just to show you what it'll look like if you wanted to expand this carrier. This is designed for inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches. We're taking a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Tesla Model Y. So the first thing with this is it does take up less space compared to some of your other two-bike platform racks. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Seltos SAR62MR- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Saris MHS Bike and Cargo Kit fits on a 2023 Kia Seltos. We are focusing on how this specific kit and system works with this specific car. If you're curious though, about the whole kit or its components, you can check out our full length review videos here at etrailer.com. Now, the main thing though with a Seltos is I really like this combination just because it expands my cargo space and allows me to carry around the bike. But it's important that you have a two inch hitch receiver and that you're very conscious of the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle, because while this whole system has a total weight capacity of up to 195 pounds, your hitch weight capacity may be less, so just double check that (engine revving) before you load your cargo up. Technically, the basket has 160 pound weight capacity and the bike rack has a 35 pound weight capacity. more

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our Saris MHS Basket and Bike Kit, and we'll see how it fits here on our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be one of my preferred kits because it allows you to carry around your bike of different shapes and sizes, but also carry around some cargo, and you have the fun adjustability of the MHS base. This is the 2+1 base with these accessories. Now, one really cool thing about this too is that when you tilt this whole system away, you are still able to open up your tailgate. Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today, we're talking about our kit, which is going to include our Saris MHS One Plus One Base and our UNO Tray with it. Now this is going to be a kit where you can find it on our website and we have the individual parts. You can also check out their webpages and their videos, but today, we're going to be focusing on how they work together. So how this kit's going to work together is your base is going to be the foundation of our system today and we're going to have this collar that wraps around it so we can secure our UNO carrier. Now, our UNO tray is going to have a weight capacity of up to 40 pounds and if you want to put something on in the add-on location of our base carrier, then that's going to have a capacity hold up to 35 pounds. more
